Satkosh uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in, protect the console against forged requests and remember basic preferences. Google Analytics runs on this website only if you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies, data broker pixels, or cross-site retargeting beacons.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are compact text files placed on your browser when visiting a website. Local storage operates similarly, allowing modern web applications to store basic user preferences (such as dark/light display modes or cookie acknowledgments) directly within your browser without transmitting them over network headers on every page request.

3. Privacy-Respecting Web Analytics
We configure our aggregate web analytics with strict privacy protections:
- Only With Your Consent: The analytics script is not loaded, and nothing is sent to Google, until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, or make no choice, it never loads.
- IP Anonymization: IP addresses are masked before processing and storage.
- Zero Ad Sharing: Commercial ad-sharing and Google Signals demographic retargeting are permanently disabled.
- Changing Your Mind: Choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to bring the banner back and accept or decline again. Declining switches analytics off and removes its cookies from this site. The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on also works if you would rather block it across every site you visit.
4. How to Manage or Disable Cookies
You can inspect, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser's security settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Cookies.
- Apple Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Note: Disabling strictly necessary session cookies will prevent successful authentication and management operations within the Satkosh Cloud Backup console.
